Baseball has a definition of a perfect game – a baseball game in which a pitcher allows no hits, no runs, and no opposing batter to reach first base.
There is no definitive agreement on what a perfect game is in any other sport. Edinburg Vela’s 70-22 victory last Thursday over PSJA in a battle of two District 31-6A un-beatens could be at least the start of a blueprint to what determines gridiron perfection. The win improved Vela to 9-0 overall and 6-0 in the district. The home-standing Bears fell to 8-1 and 5-1, respectively.
