PSJA Memorial sisters lead Wolverines to winning record

Kristi and Deserey Gomez remember the rude treatment they received one day as young girls when they asked a group of kids playing volleyball if they could join them.

They told the sisters no – because they didn’t know how to play.

“When we got home, our dad asked us what was wrong,” Kristi said. “We said nothing, but he asked again and Deserey told him what happened. They told us we’re not good. Same day my dad got us a volleyball – but it was a plastic one and it hurt and burned.”
