PHARR - Alfredo Carrillo, Sr., 62, passed quietly in his home on the morning of Wednesday, May 25th, 2016 surrounded by his family. Born on September 10th, 1953 in Pharr, Texas, Freddy (as he was known to his family and friends) was a simple man whose pride and joy was his family and the shop, Vic’s Auto Rebuilders, which he ran with his brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents Victor Carrillo, Sr. and Ida G. Carrillo and his brother Victor Carrillo, Jr. Alfredo spent his life in the town that he loved where he met and married his wife of 42 years Noraima (Gonzalez) Carrillo. Together, they raised three children, Sandra (Hector) Rivera of Palmhurst, Texas, Alfredo “Chacho” (Cristina) Carrillo, Jr. of Pharr, Texas, and Allysa (Eddie) Carrillo-Rodriguez of Pharr, Texas. He deeply cherished and treasured his seven grandchildren Gabriella Carrillo, Carolina Carrillo, Daniel Carrillo, Marko Alfredo Marin, Lauren Rivera, Dominick Rodriguez and Karen Rivera. Also survived by his brothers and sisters, Mario (Adela) Carrillo of Pharr, Texas, Connie (Tony) Lozano of Pharr, Texas, Ida Cuellar of San Juan, Texas, Sandra (Robert) Gonzalez of McAllen, Texas, Bobby (Dolly) Carrillo of Pharr, Texas, Johnny (Karla) Carrillo of McAllen, Texas, and Ana Carrillo of Pharr, Texas. Although his passing has left a hole in the lives and hearts of his family and friends, his charm, wit and spirit will live on in the lives of his children and grandchildren. He will be missed tremendously. Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Thursday, May 26, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service took place at 10 a.m. Friday, May 27, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment followed at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
