ALAMO—Noe Lopez 63, died April 11 at McAllen Heart Hospital. Noe was born in Hale Center, Texas. He lived in Alamo all his life and had worked for the City of Alamo from 1982 until his retirement in October 2015. Noe was a veteran of the United States Army who served his country with pride. He is preceded in death by his parents, Adan and Rebecca Lopez; a sister, Rosita De Los Santos; and a brother, Adan Lopez, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Matilde C. Lopez of Alamo, his children Kevin (Crystal) Lopez of Aspermont, Texas, Alex Lopez, Aaron Lopez of Alamo, Noe Lopez, Jr. and Amanda Lopez of Harlingen, Texas; 12 grandchildren; three siblings, Eva Ramirez of Edinburg, Rene Lopez and Roberto Lopez of Alamo. We want to thank family and friends that have joined us in this hour of loss and sorrow, especially for your acts of kindness and prayers. He will be remembered as a kind, loving, caring, husband, father, grandfather who loved hunting and fishing with family and friends. We will miss him dearly but he will live forever in our hearts. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Wednesday, April 13 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 14 at Iglesia Lirios de los Valles in Alamo. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
