RAMON “MONCHE” RICHIE

McALLEN – Ramon “Monche” Richie died Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Doctors Hospital Renaissance in Edinburg. Ramon was born in Pharr, Texas and lived in McAllen. Ramon spent most of his days in Pharr, TX, where he and his wife raised their children. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Federico and Eloisa Richie; a son, Ramon Richie, Jr.; a brother, Federico Richie, Jr.; and his brother-in-law, Domingo Gomez. Ramon is survived by his loving wife, “Tina” Kwang Cha Kim Richie of McAllen, a son, Randy (Maria Cristina) Richie of San Juan, a daughter Rita (Alex Gutierrez) Richie of McAllen, and eight beautiful grandchildren, Jeneva, Justin, Shayne, Jazlynn, Rhianna, Rinelle, Randy Jr., and Jude; his brother, Marcelino Richie; his sisters, Mayona Gomez, Marie (Jose) Rodriguez, and Beatriz Luna. Visitation were held from 5 - 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Friday, April 1st at Memorial Funeral Home, 311 E. Expressway 83 in San Juan. Funeral Service took place at 12 p.m. Saturday, April 2 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment followed at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
