EVANSTON, IL — Librada “Budz” Prudencio, 69, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016, at her residence in Skokie. Born in Manila, Philippines, she was formerly of Gary, IN and had lived in Evanston, IL for 35 years. Librada graduated from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines. She was a Microbiology Supervisor at St. Ann’s Hospital and St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Chicago under Dr. Reddy. Librada will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Crispin and Modesta Prudencio. Mss. Prudencio is survived by two siblings, Napoleon (Marilou) Prudencio, Lulu (Richard) Garrett, both of Mission; cousins, Emma Bueno Lagao of Victorville, Emma (Jonathan) David of Cerritos, CA, Nestor Roldan of Riverside, CA, Ella Enriquez of Los Angeles, CA, Maria Macalaman of San Francisco, CA, Ariel Edith Benitez, Espiritu cousins, Elmer, Emmanuel, Edgardo, Edna, and Eduardo, all of Universal City, San Antonio. Visitation were held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary on March 17 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan, TX. Funeral service took place at 10 a.m. Friday, March 18, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Mission, TX. Interment followed at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen, TX.
