SAN JUAN – Alejandro “Alex” Guajardo, 49, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015, at his residence in San Juan. He was born in Muleshoe, TX and had lived in San Juan all of his life. Alex loved his dogs, enjoyed listening to music and serving his church RCIA, CCD. His passion was helping special needs students at Southwest High School, Doedyns Elementary, Allen & William Elementary and Liberty Middle School. He also loved attending the Special Olympics. But most of all, he loved his family. Mr. Guajardo is preceded in death by his father, Ramiro Guajardo, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Daniel and Evangeline Tamez. He is survived by his wife, Veronica Guajardo; his son, Alexander Ozbourne Guajardo; mother, Anita Guajardo; and his brother, Eric (Connie) Guajardo, all of San Juan; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, October 28, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 29, 2015, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
