You don’t write; You don’t call

Dear City of Donna, you don’t write; you don’t call. At least when it comes to my requests for public information.

Then, this week, I find out that longtime City Secretary Martha Alvarado has retired, effective the last week of June, and indeed someone has taken her place, but the voicemail still says, “Hi, you’ve reached the desk of Martha Alvarado.” Not really. She’s retired. No matter, I left a voice mail for the new city secretary, but got no return phone call.
