McALLEN — Lots and lots of cash — that’s what money laundering is all about. In fact, the International Monetary Fund estimates that the amount of money laundered every year is between $600 billion and $1.5 trillion. But there can be work-related risks as Robert “Bobby” Maldonado discovered last week when U.S. District Court Judge Randy Crane hit him with a 12-year sentence for his part in the illegal activity.
