Waiting on City of Donna’s financial audit – coming soon

DONNA -- Rick Morales has only been Donna’s new mayor since he won in a runoff election last December, but some of the financial info that he and the new administration – which includes his two slate mates, Oscar Gonzales and Arturo Castillo -- have already dug up is one of a kind, says Morales. A new financial city audit was finished this last spring. The Advance News Journal should get a copy of it later this week.
An apology is owed by this newspaper to Mayor Morales, however, with regard to a front-page story published last week concerning the shape of the city, which included making mention of a missing bank account. The account was never entered into the city’s typed financials, but according to Morales, it was verbalized on more than one occasion.
