Two Mexican journalists were slain last week within a 24-hour period: one in Tamaulipas; the other in Oaxaca.
For some odd reason, the U.S. and Mexican mainstream media spoke not a word about the twin homicides. They’d rather focus on the positive. Better for business.
The female journalist, 44-year-old Zamira Ester Bautista Luna, who also worked as a teacher, was shot dead last Monday at approximately 6:30 a.m. The pictures of the crime scene are too bloody to publish.
GOOGLE her name, however, and you’ll find no mention of her murder in any mainstream Mexican or U.S. media. All the stories related to her murder were published by online independent news sources.
