Pharr and Index Fresh break ground on Avocado Facility in Produce Park

Pharr, TX - City of Pharr leaders, the Pharr Economic Development Corporation, Index Fresh, and Tippmann Innovation held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new 60,000 sq. ft. avocado ripening and distribution facility located in Pharr’s produce park.

Pharr Commissioner Eleazar Guajardo, City Manager Juan Guerra, and Pharr EDC Director Victor Perez delivered remarks during the ceremony, welcoming Index Fresh to the area, congratulating them on the new facility, and thanking them for choosing Pharr and helping to contribute to the local economy, provide jobs for the region, and spur commerce and trade.
