San Juan EDC Broke?

This story takes a while to wrap your head around: The San Juan Economic Development Corporation is stonecold broke? How can that be?
According to San Juan Mayor San Juanita Sanchez, the real fault lies with EDC Director Humberto “Bobby” Rodriguez: “If you’ve been the president for at least six years, maybe more, and the director for at least a year and a half, one of your main functions if you’re running this corporation, is you better have a handle on the budget.”
Sanchez said that the auditor tasked with auditing SJ EDC financials uncovered problems with its finances last month, and the full extent of the problem only became fully known to the city commission this month.
