Former Mission mayor’s son urged dad to file suit

People paid to vote in city election?

MISSION – Charges of voter fraud in Edinburg, Hidalgo, and now Mission; and we still have the November elections to go. Politiqueras are already getting ready to park their Caddies and dust off the voting vans as they test the waters to see which politicians will cough up the most money. That’s not to make light of the voter-fraud allegations. In Edinburg, five people have been charged with voter fraud, while in Hidalgo, three women have suffered the same fate. As one of those arrested (without mentioning the city) recently told this newspaper on condition of anonymity: “You see your face splattered all across the news, it makes you not even want to go out in public.”
The lawsuit filed July 18, 2018 by former Mission Mayor Norberto “Beto” Salinas against current Mission Mayor Armando O’Caña is 17 pages long, of which 15 pages lay out the allegations of voter fraud tied to this city’s recent municipal runoff election.
