Does Alamo need its own Independent School District? Radical priest? Or man of the people?

Father Jose Rene Angel has only been in the city of Alamo for a year and a half, but already he’s making waves: he thinks the city should split apart from PSJA ISD and Donna ISD and create its own school district, separate and apart from the others. Approximately three weeks ago, Father Angel said as much during a Sunday Mass at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo, catching his parishioners off guard.
