DHR Health opens first functioning Level 1 trauma center south of San Antonio

People who suffer some of the most life-threatening injuries, such as those which result from car crashes, blunt trauma (striking or being struck by an object), serious falls, or gun shot or stab wounds, finally have the highest level of life-saving medical care available in the Rio Grande Valley.

DHR Health has received trauma patients from all across South Texas, including Brownsville, Rio Grande City and Falfurrias.
