APPROXIMATELY 26,000 PROTESTS FILED WITH COUNTY’S APPRAISAL DISTRICT

Out of 158,000 approximate appraisal notices sent to roughly 45 percent of Hidalgo County residents last month, Chief Appraiser Rolando Garza said last week that approximately 26,000 protests were filed with his office, beating the June 1 filing deadline.
