El Paso massacre PSJA Bears lose one of their own

By Sunday, word was already filtering through the PSJA community that one of its very own, Leonardo Campos, Jr., only 41 years old, was one of the victims slain inside the El Paso Walmart last Saturday. Campos’s wife, Maribel, died by his side.

Sunday afternoon, PSJA ISD released a public statement:

“The PSJA Family is sad to hear reports of the loss of one of our own, PSJA High School Class of 1996 Alum Leonardo Campos, Jr., during yesterday’s tragic shooting in El Paso. Reports indicate his wife was also a victim. Our thoughts and prayers are with their family.”
