PSJA swimmer signs with Lindenwood University

PHARR — PSJA ISD swimmer Joshua Velasquez signed a letter of intent to swim for Lindenwood University-Belleville April 19 at the PSJA ISD Natatorium surrounded by his family, coaches, administrators and friends.

Velasquez, who attends PSJA T. Jefferson T-STEM Early College High School, but swims competitively for PSJA Southwest ECHS, is a state qualifier in the 100 backstroke. He earned 7th place at the 5A state championship his junior year and earned a second-team all-state award.
