Israel and Iran

I watched with interest the dedication ceremony of the United States Embassy in Jerusalem. The most striking aspect to the meeting was the inclusion of both Jewish religious leaders and American evangelical pastors, together painting a picture (repeated by politicians) of the historic roots of Jerusalem in the psyche and politics of the Jewish people during the last three thousand years. One can’t understand the conflict between Jews and Palestinians in the Middle East without taking that into account. Israel will never give up Jerusalem. Jews will fight to the last man to retain it.
