Following Super Tuesday Mike Huckabee (whose daughter is working in the Trump campaign) treated the Trump victories as a peaceful revolution and blamed the insurrection on the Republican Party’s leadership. That leadership, he asserted, had betrayed the voters’ trust by obeying the wishes of the donor class at the expense of the rank and file voter. Republicans had been elected to majority status to oppose and reverse Obama’s policies, but hadn’t done so. As a result, voters were now rebelling.
