This Crazy Week

The head of Judicial Watch, Tom Fitton, commented in an interview that after five years of trying, his organization has now received a huge pile of documents from the IRS concerning the weaponization of that agency by the Obama Administration. One set of meeting notes in that pile may explain why Lois Lerner was allowed to retire from the government rather than being arrested for her part in the scandal. It seems that over five years ago there was a meeting between the IRS and staffers of Democrat Senator Levin and Republican Senator John McCain. In that meeting those staff members reportedly asked the IRS to audit certain tax exempt groups to the point of financial ruin. If Lerner had been prosecuted for doing exactly that, the meeting minutes would have become public.
