SANTIAGA “LUPE” FLORES
EDINBURG - Santiaga “Lupe” Flores, 81, went home to our Lord Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in San Luis Potosi, MX, Lupe traveled for years and settled in Edinburg since, 1973. Santiaga took delight in raising her family and bringing peace among them. She enjoyed playing chalupa, taking care of her plants, and was an animal lover. Her charisma and love will be missed forever.
She is preceded in death by two sons, Felipe A. Flores and George Flores.
Lupe is survived by her husband of 60 yrs., Margarito S. Flores; ten children, Minerva Gutierrez, Sylvia Gomez, Max (Maria) Flores, Alma (Enrique) Rodriguez, Jose Flores, all of Edinburg, Juan Javier (Ana) Flores of Mission, Kenneth Martin (Melissa) Flores, Sulema Flores, Roel Flores (Corazon), Roy (Lisa) Flores, all of Edinburg; 39 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Friday, August 13, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, August 14, 2017, at Valley Worship Center in McAllen. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
