ALAMO – Raul Gutierrez Anguiano, 76, died Friday, July 22, 2016, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. Born in Cuidad Juarez, Mexico, he had lived in Alamo most of his life. He is preceded in death by a son, Enrique “Henry” Anguiano; and a sister, Rosa Garza. Raul is survived by four children, Dora A. Martinez, Rosa Anguiano, Raul Anguiano, Jr. and Daniel Anguiano, all of Alamo; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Maria Cruz Sanchez; and the mother of his children, Beatriz Martinez Anguiano. Visitation was from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, July 24, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service took place at 12 noon, Monday, July 25, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment followed at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of San Juan.
