SAN JUAN — Nemecio "Nencho" Martinez, 72, died Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at Amara Hospice in Edinburg. Nemecio is preceded in death by his son, Adrian Martinez; and his parents, Espetacion and Rosa P. Martinez. Mr. Martinez is survived by his wife, Gloria Hernandez of San Juan; three children, Arnoldo (Maria) Martinez, Esmeralda (Pablo) Garcia, both of San Juan, Griselda (Ricardo) Martinez of Mission; nine grandchildren; four brothers; and three sisters. Visitation was held from 4 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Monday, Sept. 28, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service took place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment followed at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
