JULIA VIRGINIA MONTEMAYOR
DONNA- Julia Virgina Montemayor, 91, went home to our Lord Friday, August 25, 2017, at Mid Valley Nursing and Rehab in Mercedes.
Born in Liberty, TX, Mrs. Montemayor lived in Donna most of her life.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Teodoro Montemayor.
Mrs. Montemayor is survived by her nine children, David Montemayor, Ernesto Montemayor, Yolanda (Enrique) Gonzalez, Vidal Montemayor, all of Donna, Carmen Salinas of Edinburg, Yldefonso Montemayor of Harlingen, Diana Phelps of Grand Rapids, MI, Dalia Riggs of Houston and Adela Garcia of Weslaco; 23 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Sunday, Aug. 27, at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral service took place at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Donna. Interment followed at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
