JESUS V. “EL CHARRO” GONZALEZ
PHARR – Jesus V. “El Charro” Gonzalez, 87, entered eternal rest on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
Born in Alamo, Jesus lived in Pharr all his life.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Dora M. Gonzalez who passed away June of 2015.
Jesus is survived by 10 children, Sylvia Cazares, Norma L. Gonzalez, Gabriel Gonzalez, all of Alamo, Leticia Barrera of Wisconsin, Diana Armendariz, Noemi Moya, Joel Gonzalez, all of Pharr, Irma Velasquez of San Juan, Minerva Gonzalez of Idaho, Gilberto Gonzalez of San Antonio; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-greatgrandchild.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, and from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Wednesday, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
