HERLINDA “NINA” ALEMAN

ALAMO - Herlinda “Nina” Aleman,86, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016, at Las Palmas Nursing Home in McAllen. Nina was born in Harlingen on November 20, 1929 to Hilario and Antonia Garza. She was a lifelong resident of Alamo and a member of Resurrection Catholic Church all of her life. Mrs. Aleman devoted her life to her children, grandchildren and helping others. She will be greatly missed by everyone whose life she touched. Her sympathy, love, and compassion will live forever in the hearts of her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Maximiliano Aleman; two sons, Roel Aleman and Max Aleman Jr.
 
Herlinda is survived by seven children, Trinidad Aleman of Cathedral City, California, Johnny Aleman of Alamo, David Aleman of Morongo Valley, California, Roy Aleman of Indio, California, Estrella Herrera of Alamo, Cristina De La Cruz of Linn, Teresa Aleman of Austin; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Aleman’s family would like to thank the staff of Las Palmas Nursing Home, Dr. Alam from McAllen Medical Center, and All State Hospice for the care and love given to Nina. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 28, 2016, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Alamo. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of San Juan.
