Guadalupe “Winnie” Ysaguirre, 93, died Friday, December 19, 2014, at his residence in Pharr. Born in San Nicolas, Mexico, he had lived in Pharr all of his life and was a veteran of the United States Army. He is preceded in death by parents, Refugio and Maria Ysaguirre; three brothers; and two sisters. Mr. Ysaguirre is survived by his wife, Gregoria Ysaguirre of Pharr; three sons, Guadalupe “Pete” Ysaguirre of Pharr, Leonel Ysaguirre of Fort Worth, TX, Arnoldo “Arnie” Ysaguirre of Irving, TX; two daughters, Elizabeth (Robert) Gouty of Houston, TX, Marynell(Charles) Fagnana of La Porte, TX; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Aurelia Ramirez and Esperanza Guerra, both of Pharr.Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, December 21, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, December 22, 2014, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 8788 of McAllen. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
