Felipe Meza, 60, died Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, at McAllen Medical Center. Born in Mexico, Mr. Meza had lived in Alamo since 1993 and was formerly of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was a Pastor at Iglesia Restauracion en Jesus in Alamo. He is preceded in death by a brother, Jose T. Meza. Mr. Meza is survived by his wife, Juanita Meza of Alamo; seven children, Melinda (Joel) Hernandez of Donna, Felipe (Tatiana) Meza, Jr., Jose T. Meza, both of Alamo, Maria Del Rosario Meza of Pharr, Carlos Meza of Houston, TX, Edith Meza of Edinburg, Freddy Hernandez of McAllen; 14 grandchildren; seven sisters, Carmen Rosales of Rio Grande City, Natalia Solis of Mission, Bacilicia Meza, Felipa Castro, both of Rio Bravo, Tamps., Mexico, Hortencia Meza of Lufkin, TX, Sylvia Meza Sanguino of Houston, TX, Sonia Meza of North Carolina; and a brother, Rafael Meza of Rio Bravo, Tamps., Mexico. Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Jan. 29 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service took place at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 30, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
