Diana Alicia Aleman, 39, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2015, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. Diana is remembered by her family for her beauty and charisma. She was considered the joker of the family, the one to bring a smile to everyone. She was a very independent, strong, hardworking, and courageous woman. Diana loved eating caldo de res and chiles rellenos made by her mother. She worked for many years as a nurse coder for Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. Ms. Aleman is survived by her son, Gerardo Ivan Velasco; her parents, Pedro and Maria Aleman, of Pharr; five siblings, Rosa Isela Aleman, Lorena Aleman, both of Pharr; Idolina Garcia, of Parker, TX, Pedro Aleman Jr., of McAllen, Enedelia Aleman, of Austin, TX. Visitation was held April 25, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Cremation took place at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
