PSJA Education Foundation distributes over $100k in student scholarships

PHARR – In its third year of existence, the PSJA Education Foundation, a non-profit organization created to assist PSJA ISD students and staff through scholarships and grants had its best year yet, distributing over $100,000 in student scholarships and over $18,000 in teacher grants. Ninety-five PSJA seniors were awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the foundation and five seniors received the first-ever 4-year $1,000 scholarship. The 4-year scholarship recipients represent each PSJA high school after a competitive selection process. These scholars will get a total of $4,000 from the foundation to assist them with college tuition, $1,000 for each year in college.
