Chavez and Melendez excel at trials

Alex Chavez, a former All-American race walker from PSJA High School, will be representing the USA in Chile at the Pan American Race Walking Cup next month. Chavez has race walked under a full race walk scholarship for Missouri Baptist University during the past four years and will be graduating with a math degree next week. He has been loved and respected by his professors and fellow students at MBU for his superior leadership both in class and on the track. He has won many national collegiate championships and has had a very successful career.
