NFL loves Jay-Z Is Bryce Harper worth $30 million/yr?

Major League Baseball attendance is down for the fourth straight year, but you wouldn’t know it based on the 13-year $330 million contract the Philadelphia Phillies handed Bryce Harper this past February. For a guy who’s only 26 years old, that ain’t too shabby.

To put that figure into perspective, that equates to a weekly paycheck of $488,165.68. Needless to say, the IRS is happy and so is the state of Pa. That sort of money is hard to fathom, is it not? Imagine picking up your weekly paycheck (who knows if Harper is paid weekly, but let’s assume he is), opening up the envelope, and seeing $488,165.68 printed on the check.
