Simon Escobedo, Jr., 33, died Tuesday, January 13, 2015, in San Angelo, TX. Born in Edinburg, he had lived in Alamo all of his life. Simon is survived by his wife, Ansley Escobedo of Alamo; two daughters, Lexi Rae Escobedo of Mission, Samira Taylor Escobedo of Alamo; parents, Carolina and Simon Escobedo, Sr. of Alamo; one brother, Juan (Karla) Escobedo of Alamo; and three sisters, Cristina (Eddie) Coronado, Cassandra Escobedo, both of Donna, and Seleena Escobedo of Alamo. Visitation was held from 4 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Friday, Jan. 16, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service took place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
