CBP Seizes Mammoth Load of Marijuana Worth $1.5 Million at Pharr International Bridge

PHARR —U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations (OFO) at the Pharr International Bridge cargo facility intercepted $1,500,000 worth of marijuana in a commercial shipment arriving from Mexico.
“This seizure of marijuana in the cargo environment certainly figures among those at the top of the list in terms of quantity for our port,” said Port Director Sylvia Briones, Port of Hidalgo/Pharr/Anzalduas. “Our officers continue with an enforcement mindset whether it involves detecting one pound or over 2 tons of narcotics.”
