MARCOS GONZALEZ, SR.

ALAMO - Marcos Gonzalez Sr., 90, died Monday, December 10, 2018, at San Juan Nursing Home.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Josefina Gonzalez.

Mr. Gonzalez is survived by four sons, Juan (Evelia) Gonzalez of Alamo, Marcos (San Juanita) Gonzalez Jr., Gerardo Gonzalez, both of San Juan, Jose Humberto Gonzalez of McAllen; six daughters, Blanca (Reyes) Blanco of Harlingen, Maria Gonzalez of McAllen, Socorro (Jesus) Duenas of Hammett, Idaho, Nora (Orlando) Villarreal of Fort Worth, Irene Velazquez of San Antonio, Sonia Verner of Weslaco; 41 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Enrique Gonzalez, of Nampa, Idaho.

Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service took place at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 13, 2018, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment followed at St. Joseph Cemetery in Alamo.

Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
