Valley games off to hot start

Okay, the Valley’s not perfect, but at least we don’t build a high school football stadium to the tune of $60 million only to see it develop foundational cracks 18 months after it opens. But that’s what happened up in Allen, Texas, a suburb of Dallas. The high school stadium was closed this past February due to cracking in the concrete, making it unsafe for use. It’s now been closed indefinitely. Engineering failures have been cited as the cause. According to a story published this past June by the Dallas Morning News, the stadium problems extend far beyond the cracked concrete.
