La Joya ISD’s child-rape allegation Mother names accuser on Facebook Then posts photo of him online

SERVING HIDALGO COUNTY

La Joya -- Last Friday, a Facebook page – “Justice For Her” -- was created by a woman whose five-year-old daughter once attended La Joya ISD’s Tabasco Elementary. Until, that is, she was allegedly raped by a 14-year-old who also attended La Joya ISD.

The social-media page soon went viral and has since stirred up raw emotions in this city already in the midst of a heated school board election. Monday morning around 9 a.m., approximately 50 people, most of whom carried signs – “Justice for Her” – marched outside Tabasco, in a show of protest against the way the school and the district had allegedly treated both the alleged victim and her family (unfairly).
