Dog sick

We have a sick dog, so I’m once again behind on my writing. So much news, so little time.

That said, here is what I had hoped to get in this week’s Advance, which will just have to wait until next week:

• Why is the gym at the Pharr Boys & Girls Club Las Milpas unit still closed? There exists an agreement drafted between the city and the club to remedy that, but it’s not yet been executed. The city has signed it, but the club president has yet to do so. Why is that? Not sure, but I finally have all of the emails that paint a clear picture of what has gone on between the two entities, and how and why IDEA Public Schools was granted exclusive use of the gym, unbeknownst to the city.
