South Texas Walking Club places second at 2017 AAU national racewalk championship

Florida came to the AAU National Racewalk Championship well prepared last week intending to win said championship for the first time ever and that is exactly what they did. Coach A.C. Jaime of the South Texas Walking Club said that losing the championship for the first time in 18 years was disappointing but credited his team and other Texas teams for placing second among 28 states participating. Missouri, Virginia, New York and Georgia placed third-, fourth-, fifth- and sixth-place, respectively.
