SANJUANA CASTILLO

ALAMO- SanJuana Castillo, 70, died Sunday, December 18, 2016, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. Born in Monterrey, MX, she lived in Alamo most of her life, and was a member of Las Guadalupanas, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elodio and Antonia Garza; and several brothers and sisters. Mrs. Castillo is survived by her husband, Luis M. Castillo of Alamo; three sons, Luis M. Castillo, Jr. of Alamo, Jose Alejandro (Roselee) Castillo of San Juan; Eduardo (Savanna) Castillo of Plano, TX; a daughter, Gabriela (Richard) Scarborough of Cibolo, TX; six grandchildren, Tristin, Trey, Serenity, Serena, Sage and Jayme; a brother Ramon Garza; and two sisters, Oralia Mier and Maria Esther Amaya. Visitation was held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of San Juan.
