Edinburg CISD schools kick off fitness program

EDINBURG – The Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District’s Gorena and Ramirez elementary schools recently took their honored roles as model schools for Project Fit America (PFA), a national public charity dedicated to getting kids fit since 1990. Students demonstrated exercises on their new outdoor fitness equipment along with American Ninja Warrior Abel Gonzalez. School district educators, civic leaders and representatives from the Valley Baptist Legacy Foundation also participated in the Opening Day Kick Off and Fitness Celebration events.
