I never thought it would happen – me turning into a soccer fan. I’ve disliked the sport most of my life as a spectator. But the RGVFC Toros’ new head coach, Wilmer Cabrera, might just do it for me. He’s that charismatic. That, and besides race walking, soccer is the only sport at which Valley high school kids can excel at the state championship level.
