The House Majority Leader won't become Speaker largely because of his comments about the Benghazi Committee. In reality, though, he never stated that the committee was established to weaken Hillary's poll numbers. Essentially all he said was that the whole world thought Hillary was unassailable but that since the Benghazi committee had begun its investigation her poll numbers had gone south. That certainly was a true statement. He never claimed the committee was formed with the motive of attacking her poll numbers. That was simply the spin that democrats put on his words.
