While Valley developers, city and county officials, and chamber of commerce directors are doing their best to convince Middle America that the RGV border area is a relatively safe place to live, do business, and/or visit -- which it is on this side of the river -- along comes a Sept. 10th Washington Post story that paints the Rio Grande Valley as somewhat chaotic when it comes to the number of immigrants currently crossing the river illegally.
