Toys “R” Us closes last stores

Memories with the kids

The business world takes no prisoners. Such is the case with Toys “R” Us, which will close its last 200 remaining stores on or before this Friday. The company’s off-shoot, Babies “R” Us will also close its stores.
For those who have raised children, it would probably be difficult to find any parents who didn’t step foot inside a Toys “R” Us store at least once during their child’s growing-up years. For kids, the stores were virtual gold mines, with each aisle stacked with toys galore. If your kid was sick, and you had some extra money, you could stop at the store in McAllen along Expressway 83 and find something to take home to cheer up the patient.
