News of the assassination of Tamaulipas’s top state prosecutor in Nuevo Laredo last Wednesday showed up on the Twitter account belonging to Governor Francisco Javier Garcia Cabeza de Vaca: “I mourn and condemn the cowardly murder in Nuevo Laredo. I give my condolences to their families,” the governor tweeted.
