Screwed over even in death?

As the Baby Boomers start to age (those of us born between 1946 an ’64), there are more and more retirees living on a joint fixed income. So take heed of what I’m about to write if you’re a retired couple living on a fixed income based solely on Social Security.
 
You could be in for a nasty surprise.
 
So what happens when one dies? Leaving the household to get by on just one Social Security check? Good question. I guess the trick is planning ahead for such a sad event.
 
Elected officials in the U.S. Congress just can’t understand why their approval ratings are so low – 13 percent (March 2016). After all, the male senators and representatives tip the lap dancers well. So why such bad approval ratings?
