Pulido cries massive election fraud

As mentioned in last week’s lead-in to this week’s story, if the man who lost last month’s Democratic Primary for Hidalgo County Judge, Eloy Pulido, had his way, state investigators would already be over at the county’s elections department looking to uncover, as he describes it, “massive election fraud.”
By the way, there was a mistake in last week’s story. We misquoted Pulido. He never said “massive voter fraud.” Rather, he said, “massive election fraud.” Our bad.
It’s the “election fraud,” he said, that resulted in his loss to his challenger, Richard Cortez, by a ballot vote of 24,897 to 20,058. In Pulido’s opinion, he didn’t lose this election. Rather, it was stolen from him.
